In association with the Southern Utah International Film Festival DocUtah, the Southern Utah Pacific Islander Coalition presented “Unified in Language” on Friday, September 5. Prior to the officially selected screening of the documentary ”Road to the Globe,’ the Southern Utah Pacific Islander Coalition (SUPIC) hosted a fundraiser luau at the Graff Fine Arts Building Mural on the campus of Dixie State University. All proceeds from the luau event went to serve the betterment of Pacific Islander students attending Dixie State University. A $500 check was presented by SUPIC Founder Keli Langi to Dixie State University President Richard Williams before the documentary. PISA students also delighted the audience with several Maori dances and community member Clifford Tapusoa performed a traditional Maori welcome.
