My name is Keli Langi, a Tongan-American born in Hawaii and raised in Salt Lake City. My parents are from the small Tongan island of Vava’u and the village Ha’akame. They always stressed the importance of receiving an education, and as a first generation, I attended College of Eastern Utah and eventually University of Utah receiving a bachelor’s degree and eventually a master’s degree in nursing from the U. I am currently employed by Intermountain Healthcare Go, Language Line and the family business at Jacob Lake Inn. Wanting to help increase statistics in education and decrease the number of those Pacific Islanders going to the doctor for obesity, diabetes and other health related issues, Southern Utah Pacific Islander Coalition (SUPIC) was created to present opportunities and resources to the people of the area. I have such a love of wanting to help others, and to help our Pacific Islander community succeed. I’m married to my beautiful wife Julie and we have two children, Sione and Emeli. Please join me and the rest of our Board of Directors!
