Having been born and raised in St. George Utah, I am honored to be able to serve my community and the Polynesian people of Southern Utah. I am the daughter of Keith and Pat Ava. My father, from Laie, HI, attended Dixie College in 1973 and has resided here ever since! My mother Pat (Gentry) is a born and raised St. George girl as well (Dixie High school Class of 1973). Needless to say, St. George is in my blood! I attended Washington Elementary, Woodward 6th grade center and Pine View Middle school and graduated at Pine View High school in 2001.
I attended Utah Valley State College and graduated in 2006 with my Bachelor of Aviation Science Professional Pilot degree. I have had various flying opportunities ranging from traffic watch and banner towing in Austin, TX to fire scouting in Western Oregon. I am currently employed with SkyWest Airlines, based in Detroit, flying the Canadair Regional Jet variant aircraft.
I am a wife and mother of two beautiful girls. With those responsibilities, I feel a great desire to live a healthy lifestyle, to teach about my beautiful Polynesian culture and to be an advocate of education. I am honored to be able to share my talents and abilities with my community and look forward to many great years of service on the Board of Directors for SUPIC.
